Let it snow.... let it snow.... let it snow?

New Joisey... Feburary 20, 2005.... It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!?#!

Ok, yes, I know.... often times I sound like a broken record.... I miss the East Coast.... I miss the change of seasons... Sure, I can handle the cold! What the hell, I was raised in NJ and made it through many a good snow storm (Remember when it snowed a foot on Easter morning? That was a trip!) Who says living in sunny California has thinned my blood? P-shaw! What do they know?

Well, we'll see just how tough my blood is... cuz' I've been here in NJ for only one day and we're already bracing for a winter storm that promises to drop 6 to 8 inches of SNOW before tomorrow afternoon! And, we're not talking just the pretty, white, fluffy flakes that angels are made of.... Noooooooo, it's the combo deal.... snow, rain, sleet, freezing rain! A weather man's dream! Storm Watch 2005! I feel like a hopeful kid anticipating that school will be closed tomorrow and we'll get to enjoy a snow day! I'm all ready to pull on my gear and ride my tobbogon down the hill at the 9th hole of the Old Tappan golf course! By th' way... the snow hasn't even arrived and I'm already FREEZING my ass off just thinking about it! What? My blood... thinned? Ok... maybe just a little...

Well, I say, bring it on.... It's been a few years since I've "experienced" frozen water falling from the sky.... but yes, I think I can handle this! No problem!

To my friends in Surf City.... I hope that the river of rain stops running soon and that you are all safe out there on the highways and biways you travel between your home and your paycheck! As the memorable line from Hill Street Blues goes... (that was a popular television show, Jennifer...)... Let's be careful out there.

Oh, I almost forgot.... a quote for the day..... okay, here it is:

The more I live, the more I think that humor is the saving sense. Jacob August Riis
