Workz in progress...

I had a rather productive "purcha$e" day on Saturday... stocking up on more Rowan Biggy Prints - two more capeletes in the works! AND... like a child in a candy store, I was in awe of the two aisles of buttons at La Knitterie Parisienne where I found the most pefect magnolia blossom vintage button that I'll use to close the collar of the Biggy Print capelet I've completed and am currently decorating with Swavarski crystals along the edges. It's really looking special.

Once done with that brief shopping jaunt, I drove over to the Stitch Cafe and spent a little time at the shop working on a gift for my niece. The power blew (it was so hot out!) and the cool air in the little shop quickly evaporated.... the wool would no longer slip through my fingers, making it difficult to continue... But, before I decided to head home, Lisi was very kind to give me the pattern for the adorable felted handbag she made. I've been working on it ever since, and hope to be able to felt it in the next day or so. Then I'll start embellishing it with the embroidered "nature" scene on both sides... that'll take a few evenings to complete. I'm really looking forward to how this piece turns out (it will be my first "felting" experience)... the sample that Lisi made is so dang cute... I hope my attempt turns out close in resemblance.

Of course, just when I was honing in on completing a bunch of projects.... I've revamped and started a round of new ones... Somebody stop the madness! Love.Leigh
