Hi friends! Due to the positive response I've received, I've been busy creating wristlets and want to thank my family and friends who have purchased these trend-setting, unique, beautiful felted cuffs for themselves and to give as gifts! Not only are you getting a one-of-a kind item, BUT, more importantly, you're helping to support the relief effort for Hurricane Katrina survivors, as I am donating a portion of my proceeds to the American Red Cross and to PetFinders.com - two very worthwhile organizations focused on helping those in need!In preparation for the Stitch Cafe's 2nd annual "Love in Every Stitch" fundraiser, which will be held at the shop in Valley Village on Sunday, October 23 from 11am to 5pm, I'm busy knitting, felting, and embellishing enough wristlets to offer for sale at the event. 20% of the proceeds earned will be included in the Stitch Cafe's total contribution to the American Red Cross to aid in the relief effort for Katrina survivors! You can find out more about this event by visiting the Stitch Cafe's web site at http://www.stitchcafe.com. If you live in the area, be sure to stop by! There'll be wonderful (and beautiful) handmade items for sale, as well as a food festival and bake sale. It should be a lot of fun!!
So, in between my full-time effort of looking for a new full-time job, I'm doing my best to sneak in enough creative time to produce these little gems with the hope that they will help to make a difference in someone's life! If you're interested in finding out more info about the wristlets, please leave a comment on this post and I'll get back to you! (to get a close-up view of the wristlets, click on the photo above... each one is unique, and embellished with fresh water pearls and Sworovski crystals... totally, beautifully hip!)... also, the previous post "Katrina" provides detail info about the wristlets... check it out!)
... love . leigh ...
