today was.... simply DIVINE!

stix n' string lovers alike.... i am so pleased to finally share with you pix of the all-sewn-together-Ella Rae "Divine" sweater! (to see a larger image, just click on the photo...)

how excited i was to get the message from naomi that she had completed stitching the seams (and in the blink of an eye, might i add!) and that my sweater was... well...finally... a SWEATER! YAY!

needless to say, my first errand this morning was to the Village Knittery, where i quickly added the last touch -- sewing the four small buttons up the front panel.
now i'm just a happy-happy-knitter-girl...waiting for the heatwave to subside! is there anything more rewarding to a knitter than a new addition to your "cozy" wardrobe... that you made by hand?

if you are looking for a great yarn that is kind to your skin (no itchy-wool here!)... try the Ella Rae "silkience" yarn used for this pattern. it really is incredibly soft n' smooth.... AND, it gets even softer and smoother once you've blocked it! there's little doubt in my mind that another project made with "silkience" is on the horizon.... i kid you not... once you put this fiber next to your skin... you won't want to take it off! I've already purchased another bag of Silkience and will make a lovely rasberry-pink "Divine" sweater... this one a tad smaller, so that it tapers in at the waist.
okay... now it's time to pay my attention back to the "pea pod' cardigan... (that's the first little pea-pod-bloom over there on the right front panel!) ... i'm looking forward to tending to the gardening on this one!
so until nex time...
happy thoughts... and happy knitting! love.leigh.knitz

great job! I've been looking for a finished divine to see how it turns out on a real person... I think you're the first to finish. It looks great, love the brown.
